“Jason is a phenomenal teacher and a very patient facilitator. I had a BLAST at the stained glass mosaic workshop, getting to know the other participants and just having fun with it. All of us were amateurs, and Jason created a workspace that was cooperative, safe, and fun. I would highly recommend it to the crafty and uncreative a lot, and would love to do it again with a friend or significant other.”
“I had a fantastic time making a stained glass mosaic! Jason was patient and encouraging. The afternoon was an amazingly relaxing experience and each person in the group came out of it with a fabulous piece.”
“The stained glass mosaic workshop was really fantastic. I got to know the people I was making the mosaics with in a new way based on what they chose to represent with their stained glass. It was much less complex to get started than I thought it would be and it was all pretty collaborative; people helped each other out with cutting glass or putting down the grout.”
“I had the opportunity to work with Jason in one of his stained glass mosaic workshops. I can definitely say, that the combination of both Jason and the nature of the workshop definitely left a deep imprint on me through what stained glass is, the beauty of it and the beautiful artisan process it takes.
When I first met Jason, one of the very first facts that stuck with me was his interest in stained glass. Through our conversations, he mentioned that he was interested in doing a stained glass mosaic workshop for all the students on our floor. Ever since that day, I was excited to see what we will do in his workshop; seeing all of his wonderful work including the renown “Love” stained glass, I was looking forward to seeing what I could do.
His workshop, no doubt, was beyond my expectations. With over 15 people showing up, Jason was able to spark the interest and show us the fire in what he saw as stained glass. As he explained the process in which we will partake, he spoke with passion and fire reflecting the love he had for it. Jason’s presence definitely enhanced the experience because he was there not only to teach us, but allow us to experience the art of stained glass in a new level through the energy of the passion he gave off.
Through the workshop, Jason heavily emphasized the idea of using your imagination and building what you want. Because of the environment Jason set for us, I believed that I had the power to create anything I wanted to. The process of sketching, cutting, assembling and cementing were all experiences that were unique, and required concentration; but the results of it were definitely worth the effort put in. At the end it was great to not only see my work, but to also see the work of my peers and what they developed through this time.
Overall, I definitely believe that this workshop was breathtaking. It wasn’t just the process of creating what you wanted that made this workshop great, but it was the guidance of Jason that added the fourth dimension to this process. It was the encouragement and the nurturing environment he provided that made this experience incredible. I would definitely participate in this activity again, and would encourage other people to do so as well, to not just see what stain glass mosaic making is, but the passion people have in doing this.”
